30th September 2005 Visiting Loco: 3440 City of Truro arrives at Haworth.
On the 9th May 1904 Great Western Railway ‘City’ class 4-4-0 no 3440 ’City of Truro’was the first locomotive to achieve a recorded 100mph. The record was set from Plymouth to Paddington.
