About Haworth Cricket Club
Set in the picturesque rolling hillsides of the Upper Worth Valley, near Keighley, West Yorkshire, England, Haworth Cricket Club is in a glorious spot - unless there's a chill westerly wind whistling down the valley and across the pitch! We are approximately a quarter of a mile from the world-famous Bronte Parsonage and Haworth village and the famous walk to the Bronte Bridge comes very close to us. Haworth Station, on the excellent Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (best known for 'The Railway Children' film with Jenny Agutter, and 'Yanks' with Richard Gere, and has starred in countless other TV and film productions) is about a mile away. Nothing could be better than a good day's cricket in the sun with the sound of steam trains chuffing along the valley!

Haworth CC welcomes players of all ages and abilities. The Club has two senior sides, both in the Craven and District Cricket League (CDCL). The 1st XI are in Division 1 and 2nd XI have just achieved promotion back into Division 4.
2012 was an amazing year for the club: we celebrated our 125th Anniversary, gained the prestigious ECB Clubmark status, and capped off a great season off by becoming League Champions for the first time since joining in 1984!
We have a junior section with one team - an Under 17 side - for 2013 although we're really trying hard to set up an Under 9 squad! All our junior sides play in the Upper Airedale Junior Cricket League (UAJCL) and it's great to see the youngsters coming through the ranks into the senior sides.

Thanks to grants in 2010 from Awards for All, our Bradford Councillors and the Worth Valley Area Committee including Cllrs. Miller, Brown and Poulsen, the club began work in November 2010 on a new Social Room extension. It has surpassed our expectations as we can now host club, community and private events with confidence and our Real Ale bar just adds to the atmosphere!

The club is continuing to focus on upgrading its facilities in order for it to expand the social and community use of the club.

In 2012 we gained ECB Clubmark status - this demonstrates to all that we are trying our very best to look after every player and member of HCC.
In 2012 we became League Champions for the first time since joining in 1984!

In 2012 & 2013 Cllrs. Miller, Brown and Poulsen on the Worth Valley Area Committee have continued to support our work with grants to help us continue the improvement of our facilities. 2013 sees the access to the clubhouse massively improved with a paved footpath.
