If you enjoy reading and would like to discuss what you read, come and join 'Worth Reading' Book Group which meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Old White Lion, at 7.30 pm. It's a growing group, keen to have new members.
So you can be reading ahead - or at least ordering the books you'll need - the proposed books for the next few months are:
April 3rd: 'Mornings in Jenin' by Susan Abulhawa, plus a short story 'Tales with Lies' by one of our group members, Simone
May 1st: a participative play reading from 'An Inspector Calls' by J B Priestley (a new venture, but something we hope will appeal to lots of you)
June 5th: 'The Rosie project' by Graeme Simsion
July 3rd: 'The Famished Road' by ben Okri - Booker Prize winner in 1991
Welcome one and all!
