About The Rotary Club of Haworth & Worth Valley
Rotary International is a global network of service volunteers. It is the world's largest service organisation, with some 1.2 million members operating in 166 countries world-wide. The Haworth & Worth Valley Rotary club meet weekly at Newsholme Manor, Oakworth on Tuesday evenings, 7.00pm for 7.30pm start. There are 14 members who actively support projects in our local community as well as supporting national and international projects.

We regularly support local community groups and events, including:

Salvation Army - supporting the Annual Christmas Appeal and fundraising efforts

Contact The Elderly - providing afternoon teas for the elderly and lonely

Manorlands Hospice - coordinating the refreshments at the Annual Garden Party and coordinating car parking at 'Proms on the Farm'

40's Weekend - fundraising for Rotary charities

Oakworth Sensory Garden - helping to maintain the local community garden - we are looking for help, can you spare any time?

Kids Out - taking disadvantaged children to Lightwater Valley

Vision Aid Overseas - collecting spectacles for refurbishment

We have also supported many local charities and groups, including:

Raising funds for a Bereavement Service for children

Haworth Gardening Club - successfully nominating them for a national Rotary Environmental Award

Keighley Stroke Club - helping transport patients to the weekly group meeting

Stroke Awareness campaign and Blood Pressure Testing days

British Heart Foundation

Keighley Young Carers

Worth Valley First Responders

Haworth carnival

Disaster Appeals collecting money to purchase Emergency Shelter and Water boxes for events such as the Tsunami Appeal, Phillipines Disaster, Hurricane Matthew,

Supporting other Rotary Clubs with their local appeals such as the Calder Valley and Cumbrian floods.

Supporting the local Rotary District efforts to fund the building of the Rotary Yorkshire School in Batticaloa Sri Lanka, following the Tsunami

Supporting the Rotary District International Aid convoy to the Ukraine

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf- supporting the purchase and training of dogs for those in need

Tools for Self Reliance - collecting unwanted tools for refurbishment and redistribution overseas

Trade Aid - helping to raise awareness for a project ocussed on providing tools for work.
