Haworth West Lane Baptist Amateur Operatic Society have been performing at West Lane Baptist Church since 1964. The annual productions – usually a concert in May and a Gilbert Sullivan comic operetta in November - have given pleasure to thousands of people over the years. These productions have also supported both the church and local and national charities with their raffles. The Society has also performed elsewhere, including East Riddlesden Hall and the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton.
Over the years of their productions at Haworth the Society has built up a collection of flooring, lights, props and other items required for their shows. At the moment these are stored 'next door' in the Methodist Church but sadly this church is closing and they need to find alternative storage - preferably in the Haworth area.
At the moment we are taking up around 13m x 10m but an audit will almost certainly reduce this. If you are able to help, or put them in touch with someone who could, then they would love to hear from you. You can contact the society by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org or via Facebook (www.facebook.com/HaworthBaptistWestLaneAOS)
