If you enjoy reading and would like to discuss what you read, come and join 'Worth Reading' Book Group which meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Old White Lion, at 7.30 pm. It's a growing group, keen to have new members.
On 6th March, 'A Gentleman in Moscow', by Amor Towles.
So you can be reading ahead - or at least ordering the books you'll need - the proposed books for the next few months are:
April: 'Mornings in Jenin' by Susan Abulhawa, plus a short story 'Tales with Lies' by one of our group members, Simone
May: a participative play reading from 'An Inspector Calls' by J B Priestley (a new venture, but something we hope will appeal to lots of you)
June: 'The Rosie project' by Graeme Simsion
We have tentative plans for a play-reading session one evening - ideas welcome!
