The weather in April can be very changeable,
sunshine,
showers,
cold easterly wind can make for a slow start to spring.
What to see

Birds
are active at this time, establishing territories and building
nests. The arrival of summer migrants such as
Swallows,
House
Martins and
Swifts
are seen this month.
In late April if the spring is mild
Bluebells
will begin flowering. The leaves on trees will start to open.
Butterflies such as the
Orange
Tip can be seen on grassland.
