Cuckoo Stone

Cuckoo Stone

Cuckoo Stone

Description:
Boulder stone pushed up from the last ice age is the explanation for it being upright, there are rain channels on the stone indicating it has been in that position for a very long time. There are no man made marks to suggest human involvement.

The stone can be found on the right of the footpath past the Bronte falls on the way to Top Withens, which you can see as the single dot on the hill just to the left in the photo.
