Frogs, Amphibians, Pond Life & Reptiles- West Yorkshire

Amphibians are a group of creatures that are able to live on land and in the water, our most common is the frog. Frogs lay eggs – frogspawn that develop into tadpoles which breathe through gills. As tadpoles grow in the water their limbs and internal lungs develop. About 16 weeks after hatching the young frog can leave the water.

Frogspawn can usually be seen in Haworth around mid February.
