Swallow

The swallow is a summer visitor arriving from Africa usually mid April in Haworth, and leaving mid to late September.

Recognized by long tail, the belly which is white and the throat a dark red colour. The bird in the photograph is returning to its nest, its mouth has insects in it for the fledglings.
