Description:
Apt named insect, picture shows its "lace" like wings. The adult can be seen in winter in houses. Each year the lacewing has two generations; in spring and in summer which is the generation that hibernates in winter.
Lacewings are useful in the garden, the adults and their larvae eat aphids, the larvae in particular will eat by piercing the aphid and sucking out the body liquids.
