Description:
Time lapse of Fire spreading. The actual elapsed time for the fire to spread was 6 minutes. A frame was taken every 6 seconds.
The photograph was taken in March and the cause of the fire was a spark from a steam locomotive. The time lapse shows just how fast fire can quickly get out of control, the wind was gusting that day. It was eventually brought under control by 2 people.
It demonstrates the need to ensure that when outside any combustible material such as matches or a cigarette are properly extinguished.
