haworth news22/04/2007-IFAT Global Journey banner

On 22nd April the prestigious International Fair Trade Association (IFAT) Global Journey banner made its way to Haworth.

It has been displayed and applauded by great crowds in 40 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas, and now in Europe. It symbolises all the organisations officially accredited as fairly trading. Most of them are in Africa and Asia.

The banner left Haworth Parsonage onto Haworth Station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway [an official Fairtrade railway] for a display of fairtrade and an event with Morris dancing and a brass band playing.
